I wrote this centerspread article while a reporter for the Redwood Bark. I worked on the project with a fellow reporter, Karl Sommerville, who created a supplemental video for the article. We interviewed impacted families and community members including Kevin Berthia, who was talked off the edge, and Kevin Briggs, the man that saved him.
